We treat Children and their mothers

Provision of Health and Nutrition Services to the Vulnerable community

Our services covers health and nutrition in emergency and support of primary health care in south Sudan. Along with medical and Nutritional services offered for patients, the project is focusing on training and giving technical support to the workers especially at emergency. To build strong community health councils that is supervising primary health care activities in cooperation with local government. This is seen as a crucial key to sustain and establish a continuation of the programs.

We Empower Women

We talk to the community members especially women in order to probe into their major problems and find out the solution locally. we help them to make decision and give them preventive messages into the public health problems and gender issues.

Children Aid Education Program

Education is a fundamental human right for children. Children Aid as an organization has taken the chance for giving education to the vulnerable children and other adults in the community who had missed the opportunity to achieve it.
Adult Literacy
We have adult literacy program which is dealing mainly with the women. We empower women through this program, teaching them how to read and write; whereby scholastic materials such as books, pens, charts, manila papers, pencils, rulers, files etc are provided. We give them business courses which give them opportunity of running small scale businesses. These businesses empower them and help them support themselves and their families. We integrated courses of gender equality and women empowerment into these courses, this helps them to advocate for their rights and avoid Gender Based Violence which is very common in south Sudan. We work with various institutions such as churches, community groups, market vendors and schools. The parent educators oversee the progress of the project in the various locations of our operations.
During emergency, Children Aid sits with women and talks on how to take care of their situations and educate them on family basic education; since the children may not have the chance to access schools and therefore when the women get the adult education they pass the knowledge to the children and teach them how to read and write.

School going children
Children Aid deals with this group in various way, we provide scholastic materials to the vulnerable children. This helps the children to get back to school. We also pay school fees of the most disadvantaged children. We provide counseling and guidance to the children and their parents so that they continue going to school. We provide text books to schools, health education on STDs, health promotion and hygiene especially to girls through the provision sanitary facilities. We also provide girls peer pressure group education which ensures that the girls stay longer in school and achieve their dreams as well as establish self esteem in them.
In the emergency situations, Children Aid provide child space to the IDPs where children get a space for playing, we also provide education in emergency to all the children. Children Aid knows that in spite of the situation or condition, education remains the right of children which they have to receive for their full growth and development.

Tertiary institution
To the tertiary institutions, Children Aid supplies stationary (text books) to enhance learning. We promote health and hygiene through health education which can be done through formation of school clubs contributing to change hygiene behaviors both in schools and homes providing hygiene equipment.
